Affiliate Disclosure

The short version
Elite Champions Coaching participates in affiliate programs. Some of the product links in our articles are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Why we use affiliate links
Running Elite Champions Coaching costs money. Hosting, research tools, and the time it takes to test gear, write reviews, and answer emails. Affiliate commissions are how we keep the site free for parents and coaches.
You never pay more because of an affiliate link. The price you see is the same price you would pay if you typed the product name directly into Google.
The programs we participate in
We earn commissions through the following affiliate networks and merchants:
- Amazon Associates (Australia and UK): As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
- Kmart Australia
- Rebel Sport (Australia)
- Other sporting goods retailers where relevant to the topic
Every affiliate link on the site is tagged for attribution. When you click one, the retailer is told that we sent you. That is how we get credit if you buy.
How we choose what to recommend
Every product featured on Elite Champions Coaching has been assessed against three things:
- Over 30 years of playing and coaching experience. We do not recommend gear we have not seen in action, although newer versions may exist, and we recommend them.
- Would we buy it for our own teams? If the answer is no, it does not make the list.
- Independent research. We cross-check player reviews, durability reports, and safety standards (where relevant) before writing.
Brands do not pay us to rank higher. If a cheaper product beats a more expensive one, we say so.
When we say a product is the “best”
“Best” is always in context. Best for beginners, best value, best for under-10s, best for goalkeepers. We will never claim a product is the best for everyone, because that is not how gear works.
If you have a specific scenario we have not covered, email us and we will happily point you in the right direction.
Compliance
This disclosure exists to comply with:
- The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) 16 CFR Part 255 (Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising) for our US readers.
- Australian Consumer Law under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, specifically the rules on misleading and deceptive conduct and material connections between advertisers and endorsers.
If we review a product that was sent to us for free, or if we have any other material connection with a brand beyond an affiliate link, we will say so clearly at the top of that specific article.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, email us at our Contact page. We would rather answer a question than leave anyone confused about how the site makes money.
