Elite Champions Coaching is an Australian soccer coaching site. We publish coaching guides, drills, and gear recommendations, and we offer coaching and consulting services. We’re coaches, not data collectors, so we keep the personal information we handle to the minimum needed to run the site. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We only collect personal information you choose to give us:
- Enquiries: when you use our contact form or ask about coaching services, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you include in your message.
- Email signups: if you subscribe to updates or download one of our free coaching resources, we collect your email address so we can send you what you asked for.
- Automatic data: like most websites, we collect anonymised usage data through analytics tools, such as which guides and drills people read, what device they use, and their general location. This helps us work out which content is actually useful to coaches, players, and parents. It doesn’t identify you personally.
We don’t sell anything directly through this site, so we never collect or store your payment details.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiries and coaching service requests
- To send you resources or updates you’ve asked for (you can unsubscribe any time)
- To understand which articles and guides help our readers, so we can write better ones
- To keep the site secure and working properly
We never sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone.
Affiliate links and Amazon Associates
Some of our gear guides contain affiliate links. As an Amazon Associates participant, we earn a small commission if you click one of these links and make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon (or another retailer) places a cookie in your browser so the purchase can be attributed to us. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies for two things: analytics (understanding how the site is used, in aggregate) and affiliate link tracking (described above). We use Google Analytics, which collects anonymised data about visits to the site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work, though some features may behave differently.
Who we share information with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this site, such as our web host, email provider, and analytics tools. They only handle your information to provide those services to us, and they’re required to keep it confidential. Beyond that, we’d only disclose personal information if the law required us to.
Children and young players
A lot of our content is about coaching junior players, but this site is written for coaches, parents, and adult players. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to us, get in touch and we’ll delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email we send. If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your information, contact us first and we’ll do our best to sort it out. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including secure hosting and limiting who can access it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted clearly.
